Bill and I were friends in Art glass with Mr. Fountain.  Somehow he really pulled off that cool nerd persona.  He had lots of confidence and had a very cute funny personality.  Just remember him making cute comments and hustling off somewhere.  I am saddened to hear the news he is no longer with us.  If anyone knows what happened , even a little bit in his life I would like to hear.

I am sadden to know that we all have lost a valuable piece of our Trojan Family.  Bill and I had so many laughs in class, enough to get us in a "little" bit of trouble.  All was in fun.  Thank goodness, our wounderful teachers were very forgiving.  I am sure that Bill would have a GREAT time at the Reunion, he would be the life of the party.  We are so close to our 50th reunion, it is so sad that Bill will not be joining us.  My prayers go out to his family, friends, to all of us that LOVED HIM.  From Larry Fritz .  We will all me again in the here after.  The party will go on...

Bill Steadman was my alphabetic neighbor to my Lennie Stathakis throughout school.  He sat adjacent to me, his annual yearbook photo follows mine, etc.  Bill was very fun to be with and he was a talented artist.  As such he channeled his humor through his pen.. As I'm typing this remembrance I have my yearbook open to a page where he has drawn a cartoon: A surfer riding the curl, with his trunks dropped, mooning the viewer!  He also made several posters for me when I was running for varsity cheerleader: The image of a pear shaped pudgy creature, EHS pennant in hand, chanting "Rah dammit Rah!".  Sadly I remember learning as early as our 10th or 15th year reunion that he had passed so young.  I look at the surfer and smile and thank Bill for all the fun and laughs he shared with all of us.

I remember Bill as the cool surfer dude!  Our class had a cast of characters that were good people to be around and or know, and Bill was one of those that we will remember!  Hail to the green gold and white!
